MINNA is the Brooklyn based textile studio of Sara Berks. MINNA uses simple frame looms and various types of fibers to weave one-of-a-kind textiles and art-objects for your home. These objects blend contemporary aesthetic with nostalgic practices. MINNA was the middle name Sara's maternal grandmother dropped upon her arrival to America in 1940. A common name for maids of that era, her grandmother thought it beneath her. A ruckus this caused with her father, his mother was the namesake. MINNA, you rebel, you.
